Last date of application for UP D.El.Ed today, merit will be made for 2.33 lakh seats, Career News

Today, October 9, is the last date of application for admission to UP D.El.Ed BTC course. Interested candidates can apply for Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) by visiting the website updeled.gov.in. D.El.Ed is mandatory for assistant teacher recruitment or primary teacher recruitment in primary and upper primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. 2,33,350 D.El.Ed seats are available in UP. Fees will be deposited by 10th October. State rank based on merit will be released on October 16. The first phase of online counseling will be held from 17th to 30th October and admissions will be held till 13th November. The second phase of counseling will be held from 20th November to 1st December and admissions will be held till 10th December. Training will start from 12th December.

Graduate candidates can apply for this. In the selection, merit will be made on the basis of 10th, 12th and graduation marks.

Despite the Supreme Court’s order invalidating B.Ed in primary school teacher recruitment, 70,100 D.El.Ed seats remained vacant last year. This year, candidates from other states have also been given a chance so that seats do not remain vacant. However, priority in admission will be given only to the candidates of UP. This has been done so that only the candidates from UP can get admission on the free seats of the District Education and Training Institute. Not only this, non-UP candidates will not get any kind of reservation and all of them will be kept in unreserved category.

It will be mandatory for the candidate to submit the residence certificate issued by the competent authority of his home district in Uttar Pradesh till the date of admission, otherwise the application form of the candidate will be rejected. If seats remain vacant after the first phase, then candidates from other states will be given opportunity on the vacant seats in the second phase.
