NIRF Rankings 2022: The National Institute Ranking Framework has released the rankings of top institutes and universities across the country on Friday. Eight higher educational institutions from Uttar Pradesh have made it to the list of top 100 Indian institutions in the overall category of NIRF Ranking 2022.
Of these, five are central institutions, two private institutions and one state-run medical university, King George’s Medical University (KGMU). Out of these eight, two institutes of Lucknow- KGMU and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) have made it.
As per the ranking, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur has retained its 5th rank. At the same time, Banaras Hindu University has secured 11th position, Aligarh Muslim University has secured 19th position, IIT-BHU has secured 29th position and Amity University (Private University) of Gautam Buddha Nagar has secured 42nd position. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and IIT-BHU have slipped a notch from last year’s rankings.
At the same time, King George Medical University (KGMU) of Lucknow has reached the 75th position in the ranking of top institutions and universities. Last year it was ranked 60th. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow is at 78th position and Shiv Nadar Vishwavidyalaya (private university) at Dadri is at 94th position.
Let us inform that the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the ranking of higher educational institutions for 2022. Apart from the overall ranking, NIRF has also released the ranking in other categories. This has been announced for Universities, Colleges, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medicine, Architecture, Dentistry and Research categories.
