Cases of non-maintenance of records regarding recruitment/promotion have come to the fore in some government aided schools in Delhi. The Directorate of Education has taken a strict stand in this regard. A circular has also been issued by the Directorate in this regard.
As per the circular, it has come to the notice of the Directorate that sincere genuine efforts have not been made to maintain the records regarding recruitment/promotion of employees in some schools. Proper maintenance of records is extremely important, which cannot be ignored. It has also come to the fore that important documents were not kept duly in the personal file and service book of the officer concerned.
Keeping these lapses in view, the Directorate has issued instructions to the Managers/Govt. Aided Schools. Under this, the records related to Staff Selection Committee / Departmental Promotion Committee should be properly maintained and kept safe so that they can be presented on demand of higher officials. All the District / Regional Deputy Directors of Education should ensure that the above instructions are strictly followed by the Government Aided Schools under their jurisdiction. Let us inform that the number of government aided schools in Delhi was 204 in the year 2020-21.
