New Delhi. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday said that the Term-1 board examinations of classes 10th and 12th will be conducted ‘offline’ in November-December and its schedule will be announced on October 18. The board said that the exams will be of objective type and the duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. Keeping in view the winter season, the exam will start at 11:30 AM instead of 10:30 AM.
The integration of the syllabus by taking examinations in two phases dividing the academic session is part of the special assessment plan for 10th and 12th examinations in 2021-22 by CBSE in July in view of the Kovid-19 pandemic. CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said, “After taking the Term-1 examinations, the results in the form of marks will be announced. No student will be placed in the pass, compartment and required repeat categories after the first term. The final results will be announced after Term-1 and Term-2 examination.
He said, “Practical examinations or internal assessment will be completed in schools before the completion of Term-1 examinations.” The answers will be there, it will depend on the situation of Kovid-19 in the country.
