People are very much troubled by the scorching heat. Nowadays the temperature in many areas has been recorded up to 49 degree Celsius. The effect of scorching heat is also being seen in the schools of many districts. Due to the scorching heat in many schools, only nominal students are reaching. In Patna High School Maner, 90 students out of 449 enrolled in class 10 and 60 out of 530 in class 11 were present on Saturday. At the same time, in Shrimant Harihar Das School, Phulwari, 30 out of 465 students were found in class 10th and 20 out of 176 in class 11th.
This situation is not of any one school but of many schools in the district. In the surprise inspection by the Patna District Education Office, the attendance of the students was not found even 50 percent. In class 10th to five to 25 and in class 11th only 15 percent of the students are able to reach the school. Patna DEO has to send the report form every day to the schools to get information about the attendance of students in schools every day. According to the report, attendance in most schools ranges from seven to ten percent in class X. There are some schools where attendance ranges from 20 to 25 per cent.
Attendance is low due to high heat:
The scorching heat has started affecting the attendance of schools. Children do not want to come to school because of the heat. Due to heat, the school timings were changed in the morning by Patna District Education Office. Despite this, the attendance of children is low. Patna DEO Amit Kumar told that the report of attendance in schools is taken every day.
