The NEET-PG 2021 cutoff will be reduced by 15 percentile to fill vacant post-graduate medical seats. The Union Health Ministry has given this order to the National Board of Examinations (NBE). This change will be applicable in all categories. More students will be able to enroll than this.
Medical council committee member secretary B Srinivas has written a letter to the executive director of NBE. It said that the cutoff has been reduced by 15 percentile in all categories. That is, the qualifying percentile can be reduced to 35th percentile for general category, 30 percentile for PH (general) and 25 percentile for reserved category (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes). It is said in the letter that in view of this change release the revised result and send the revised result data of newly qualified candidates as soon as possible. The move is aimed at preventing wastage of seats.
