UGC NET 2022: According to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, the upcoming University Grants Commission (UGC)-National Eligibility Test (NET) exam will be conducted in the first or second week of June this year. The date of UGC-NET exam (for the combined cycle of December 2021 and June 2022) has not been announced yet. The exact timetable will be announced once the NTA finalizes the dates.
UGC-NET exam is conducted twice a year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UGC has decided to combine the test cycles and conduct them once a year. Last year NTA conducted the first phase of UGC-NET December 2020 and June, 2021 between 20 November 2021 and 05 December 2021, the second phase from 24 December to 27 December 2021 and the third phase on 04 and 05 January 2022 for Computer Based Test ( was conducted through CBT.
The UGC National Eligibility Test, or UGC NET, is conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for the eligibility of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship, or both for Indian universities and colleges.
