UPSC: Civil Services Examination is considered to be the toughest examination in the country. Every year lakhs of candidates sit in this exam with the dream of becoming an IAS officer. However, only a few people are able to crack this exam. Behind this success there are many obstacles, many struggles and years of hard work. One such story is of Pallavi Verma, who faced every situation firmly and achieved her position in the end.
Pallavi Verma, a resident of Indore, has a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology. After completing his graduation he also worked as a software tester in Chennai for about 10 to 11 months. After this, from the year 2013, he started preparing for the Civil Services Examination. He had worked hard in the first attempt itself, but due to lack of complete information, his selection remained. After this he gave a total of 5 attempts. Sometimes reached the interview and sometimes failed to clear the prelims also.
During this ups and downs of Civil Services Examination, he never gave up and continued his studies. During this time his mother had to face a dangerous disease like cancer. Seeing the constant failure and the crisis in the family, Pallavi had decided not to appear in the examination but her parents supported her. Finally, in the year 2020, Pallavi gave her seventh attempt and fulfilled her dream by securing 340th rank.
Pallavi worked hard for almost 7 years to crack this tough exam. He recognized his weaknesses and mistakes and rectified them in time. Pallavi had achieved this position only after strong willpower and hard work day and night. This brought laurels not only to him but also to his family members.
