On the occasion of Women’s Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a big gift to women during his trip to Tripura. Union Home Minister Shah has announced the implementation of 33 per cent reservation quota for women in state government jobs in Tripura. Apart from this, Shah has also laid the foundation stone of NFSU Campus in Agartala. Along with this, the Union Home Minister also made several major announcements including the provision of venture capital funds for women entrepreneurs and others.
Laying the foundation stone of the Agartala campus of National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), the Union Home Minister said that the Government of India is laying a network of NFSU campuses across the country to further strengthen the criminal justice system of the country. In this sequence, today the foundation stone of Agartala campus of NFSU has been laid. Shah said it would not only transform Tripura but also the law and order situation of the entire Northeast. During the foundation stone laying ceremony, Shah launched various schemes of women empowerment being launched by Tripura government and Mukhyamantri Chai Shramik Kalyan Prakalp in Agartala.

Shah said that the Biplab Dev government of Tripura under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously committed for the welfare and empowerment of women and tea garden workers. He said that laying the foundation stone of NFSU Campus in Tripura would definitely prove to be a milestone in tackling the problems like militancy, infiltration and narcotics in the North East.
