New Delhi: People all over the world are liking the music video ‘Love Wins All’, for which BTS’s V and IU have come together for the first time. This is a cinematic masterpiece, which would not be enough to be called a music video. Through this the deep feeling of love and freedom has been expressed. It is like a five-minute short film, which is narrating the tragedy of life through the imaginary world of science.
Fans are trying to explain it in their own way by sharing songs on social media, but only a few know that director ‘Um Tae Hwa’ has explained the concept and meaning of the video. In the video, Korean pop icons are seen in the role of a loving couple, but this is not a normal ‘love video’. The song was released at midnight on 24 January.
‘Camcorder’ tells the story of the beautiful past
The music video narrates the love story of singer IU and singer V of BTS band, who are in trouble and running away from what looks like an unknown cube. They enter an empty and cold building, surrounded by piles of torn clothes. V goes to a restaurant, where she finds a dusty ‘camcorder’, which suddenly changes her world. The music video then seems to move from the present to the past.
‘Cube’ represents discrimination
According to director ‘Um Tae Hwa’, the name of the thing that looks like a cube is Nemo. Some people believe that the virus is infected by zombies, while others associate it with a foreign power, although the cube shows discrimination against the lead characters. You can also see this in the form of many types of discrimination in daily life. Talking about the video camera, it changes the entire music video experience, giving us a glimpse of the world before destruction. The chain on ‘IU’s’ lips represents the ban on freedom of expression, while ‘V”s blue eyes represent unseen obstacles. Both are seen in wedding clothes, which tells the outcome/result of love.
