Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), (IANS)| Bollywood star Aamir Khan has arrived in Andhra Pradesh city of East Godavari district for the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. The actor along with other unit members will visit several locations on Friday and Saturday to shoot. The shooting is scheduled for Friday at Amalapuram, about 60 km from Kakinada, while the unit will shoot a few more scenes on Saturday at the Kakinada beach.
Khan checked in at a hotel in Kakinada, where tight security arrangements were made. The private security personnel did not allow anyone to meet the actor in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ stars Kareena Kapoor in the lead role. Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya is also playing the role of an army officer. This is the first Bollywood film for Naga Chaitanya, son of Tollywood’s leading actor Nagarjuna.
‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom 18 Studios and Paramount Pictures has already completed most of the shoots in Srinagar, Ladakh, Kargil, Chandigarh and other locations. Directed by Advit Chandan, the film is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, which was based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name. Aamir Khan bought the film rights in 2018 and officially started production in 2019. It was originally scheduled to release on Christmas 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the shooting got delayed. Now it is likely to hit the screens by the end of 2021.
