Hyderabad, Sep 19 (IANS) | Popular actor Aamir Khan participated in the ‘Green India Challenge’ by planting saplings in Hyderabad on Sunday. The actor, currently on a trip to Hyderabad, participated in the Green India Challenge at the old airport in Begumpet.
The lead actor of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ planted saplings along with his co-star Naga Chaitanya and Rajya Sabha MP Joginpally Santosh Kumar. Aamir Khan appreciated the efforts of Santosh Kumar in taking forward the Green India Challenge and appealed to the people to come forward to actively participate in tree plantation. The actor said he has seen many challenges but the Green India Challenge has become the key driver for improving greenery.
Representatives of Green India Challenge Ram Mohan and Raghav were also present in this program. Many prominent politicians and celebrities have participated in the Green India Challenge launched by Santosh Kumar in 2018. Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Shruti Haasan, Shraddha Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Prabhas, Krishna, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli, Samant, Pullela Gopichand, P.V. Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and Sania Mirza have participated in the challenge so far.
