Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s film Bachchan Pandey is constantly in the news. The film is going to release in theaters on March 18 and the entire star cast is currently busy promoting it. Contrary to the title, there is neither any Bachchan nor any Pandey in the film. However, during an interview, director Farhan Samji told that he actually did it but that scene was deleted. Abhishek ‘Bachchan’ and Chunky ‘Pandey’ were included in a scene of the film.
Where did the idea of Bachchan Pandey come from?
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez have played important roles in the film. During a press conference, Akshay Kumar told that the idea of this film came during a party of Housefull 4 when Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey were seen standing opposite each other. However, later he said that he is saying this jokingly.
The story is extracted from the character of ‘Tashan’
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar said, ‘It was just a joke. The inspiration of the film actually came from the character of ‘Tashan’. His character’s name in that film was Bachchan Pandey. However, the film’s director Farhad Samji revealed that he wanted to have a cameo of Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey in the film.
‘Bachchan-Pandey’ were shown in the film but…
Farhad said, “Both of them were kept in a deleted scene of the film, but only pictures of both were shown. The scene was such that Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi look for Bachchan Pandey and he asks a little girl about him. The girl takes out a magazine and shows a picture of Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey on one of its pages. However, we have removed that scene from the final film.
