Let’s know what is it like in the lyrics of this song
This song ‘SYL’ by Sidhu Moosewala has been released and as soon as the song is released, controversy has also started on the lyrics of this song. It is said in the lyrics of this song that ‘Give us our old history, our family back’. Return us Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana also. Unless you give us the right to run our own government, we will not give a drop of water from our rivers. Come forward and investigate us, who is the extremist and who is the terrorist here? Let all the innocent Sikhs you hold be released, we will not give even a drop of water from our rivers until the handcuffs are removed from our hands. Think big, small thinkers, oh hat people, why are you getting confused with us Sikhs? Forget water, we will not give a drop of water.’
In the next lines of this song, Sidhu has said, ‘This world is very accounting. Sometimes it supports one and sometimes the other. Why does a proud Punjabi cry? When his flag is waved. Unless we make life difficult for these two-faced people, we will not give even a drop of water from our rivers. What about the water, it will flow from anywhere. You come with us but don’t try to control us. You are threatening us because of which we will not give you the water of our rivers.’
Further Sidhu has said, ‘My pen will not stop. More such songs will keep coming. I will write everyday, release every day. If you don’t back down then more like ‘Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana’ will come forward and the water of rivers will be stopped by such brave sons’.
The controversy regarding this song of Sidhu continued when he gave martyr status to ‘Balwinder Singh Jatana’ in this song.
