Sanjay had left the world of acting
In one of his interviews, Sanjay Mishra told that he had quit acting a few years ago to lead a quiet life in the hills. During this, he worked selling Maggi and Omelette at a dhaba on the road of Gangotri. Sanjay Mishra told that he had seen death closely a few years back, due to which his attitude towards life changed.

health started to deteriorate in mumbai
That incident had such an impact on Sanjay that he had decided to never work in films again. He has also worked at the dhaba for a few days. Although people started recognizing him there too. Sanjay said that his health was very bad, he was diagnosed with a serious infection in his stomach. Because of this he left Mumbai.
Sanjay was broken by the death of his father
Sanjay said, ‘I was almost on my deathbed. I went to live with my father for a few days but suddenly, he died. And his death completely broke me.’ After performing the last rites, Sanjay told his mother that he was going somewhere. He said that seeing the death closely, he did not feel like returning to Mumbai.

popularity becomes difficult
Sanjay further said, ‘When this is life, then why not look at the things from above. In the world he sent me, I see well…somewhere in the mountains.’ On the road leading to Gangotri, Sanjay along with an elderly man worked at a roadside dhaba to make Maggi and Omelette. Passersby from the Golmaal series and Office-Office started recognizing him as an actor.
Rohit Shetty called Mumbai
Sanjay tells that in this difficult time, his mother encouraged him, and asked him to cut his beard. After this one day he got a call from Rohit Shetty’s office and he was offered the film ‘All the best’. From this film, he flagged in comedy. The films also starred Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Johnny Lever and Mugdha Godse. Since then Sanjay never looked back and went on to do commendable films like Aankhon Dekhi, Masaan and Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
