New Delhi,(IANS)| Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has embarked on his journey to the Indian Ocean with Bear Grylls for the adventure based reality show ‘Into the Wild’. He says it was an adventurous journey and a completely different experience from what he had done in his film career. Ajay says that my September break in the Indian Ocean worked for me in many ways. This was my first trip to ‘Into the Wild’ with Bear Grylls. I have done dangerous things in films since the beginning of my film career 30 years ago, but what I did during the ITW journey with Bayer was completely different. It was scary, thrilling, adventurous, exhilarating and so much more.
World-renowned adventurers Bear Grylls and Ajay Devgn travel through the shark-infested sea and end up facing the harsh weather conditions, finally heading to the uninhabited islands.Ajay shares his toughest moments from the journey that I was so nervous when I was doing my stunts with Bear, I can’t remember each moment separately. All in all, I can tell you that I was in the middle of the deep sea, and Bear rescued me with the help of a helicopter, and took me to a nearby island. The water there was dangerous. Of course, I had full faith in Bayer, but I could barely keep my head above water.
Ajay further says that he loves jungles but the sea was more challenging, so it was a little easier. Bear knows the way around the forest, he is connected to nature. I just followed him.During the course of the show we often see Grylls eating unique stuff in his campaigns, and what was offered to Ajay by him was raw fish.Talking about his upcoming projects, he revealed that I am currently shooting for my home production ‘May Day’, which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. I am also directing this film. Also, I have ‘Maidan’, a biopic on one of India’s football legends. I am also making my OTT debut with ‘Rudra – The Age of Darkness’. While three other projects are being finalized, I have three very special roles in SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’.Into the Wild with Bear Grylls and Ajay Devgn will stream on Discovery Plus on October 22. The show is scheduled to premiere on October 25 on 14 linear channels including Discovery Channel.
