Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is celebrating her 33rd birthday on Sunday. Born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Anushka Sharma’s childhood was spent in Assam and Karnataka. Anushka Sharma’s father Ajay Kumar Sharma was an army officer and he says that because of this, his personality got an important dimension. Anushka Sharma has mentioned many times that her father had been a part of the 1982 war which was fought in Kargil.
When Papa used to call from Kargil
In a conversation with TOI in the year 2012, Anushka Sharma said, ‘The Kargil phase was very difficult. I was very young then but was scared to see my mother. She would always change news channels throughout the day and get very upset when the death toll was reported. When my father used to make phone calls, he could not speak much and I used to tell him about my school, boyfriends and everything, without realizing that he has just gone to war.

Anushka Sharma told that she is very close to her father and also talks to him which she is not able to do with anyone else. Anushka Sharma said, ‘More than saying that I am an actress, I feel very proud to say that I am the daughter of an army officer.’ Talking about the work front, these days Anushka Sharma is busy preparing for the film Chakda Xpress.

Anushka Sharma will be seen playing the role of Jhulan Goswami in the film. It is a biopic film and narrates the story of the former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team.
