Mumbai, (IANS)| Actor Amol Parashar, who plays Shaheed Bhagat Singh in Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming film, ‘Sardar Udham Singh’, has revealed how he felt playing the role of a revolutionary. In a conversation with IANS, Parashar said, “Preparing to play the role of Shaheed Bhagat Singh required a lot of reading so that I could imbibe a lot of his ideals. In the process, I discovered that he is also from our history.” Were more engaging, intelligent and interesting. Books teach us. Working with Shoojit sir (Sarkar) and Vicky (Kaushal) was also an enriching experience.”
Amol also revealed that he will soon be seen playing the lead in another film. Parashar said, “My first film as a lead character will be releasing in the coming months. It will be with Vishesh Films. Both the upcoming releases are special for me for different reasons. My first film as a lead is ; In the second, I’ve got to play a great character.”
Amol, who celebrated his birthday on Friday, also shared that he never plans anything in advance. The actor said, “Nothing is pre-scheduled on my birthday and I rarely plan anything for them in advance. Even a day before my birthday, I rarely know how it’s going to happen. And I like to see how it unfolds. Sometimes, it’s a big gathering of friends, sometimes it means spending quiet time with family, or I just get out of town. “
He further added, “In the next few days, I will start shooting for another thriller. I am looking forward to it!” When asked about how life has changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Parashar said, “Lockdown taught us patience and perseverance. I am glad that my family and I are safe so far. As I said, I’m about to start shooting two days after my birthday and I’m looking forward to getting back on the sets!”
