Umair Sandhu, whose Twitter bio reveals that he is a member of the Overseas Censor Board and a film critic recently watched Bhool Bhulaiyaa ahead of its theatrical release and shared what he thought of the Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer. has shared.
Taking to Twitter, Umair wrote, “There are two solid factors in favor of #BhoolBhulaiya2 – Brand Value – #KarthikAryan combo and the chartbusting ‘Hare Krishna Hare Ram’ track. It’s shiny, stylish and well executed, technically speaking. Ek paisa vasool horror comedy!” He gave the film three and a half stars.
In a follow-up tweet, Umair wrote about how Kartik Aaryan stole the show in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and also mentioned that Kiara Advani does a great job. “@TheAaryanKartik plays his part with ease. A role with comical colors comes easy for him and he is on familiar ground in #BhoolBhulaiya2! He stole the show all the way. @advani_kiara acting very well. She looks amazing! A next mass superstar.”

Meanwhile, talking about how he wants to give audiences a glimpse of the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and still want to give a new film, director Anees Bazmee told PTI that he is looking forward to complete his upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Kind of wanted to mount a horror-comedy as a horror-comedy. The psychological thriller element of the original film to avoid any “direct comparisons”.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa, a Hindi remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazoo featuring Mohanlal, was largely played as a horror-comedy before turning into a psychological thriller towards the climax.
In the sequel, in which actor Kartik Aaryan appears in the role of Kumar, Bazmee said that he wants to change things.
“I was clear that I did not want to make a psychological thriller. If I had made it that way, there would have been a direct comparison. When you watch this movie, it will remind you of part one, but it’s not really the same.
The filmmaker told PTI, “If I offer you the same film, what’s the point of making a sequel? My film is basically a horror-comedy. You will keep getting glimpses of the world but still you will be watching a new film.”
