Choreographer Jani Master arrested
The troubles of famous choreographer Sheikh Jani Basha alias Jani Master are not reducing. Jani Master, who has choreographed songs for films like ‘Stree 2‘, ‘Jailer’, ‘Pushpa 1’ and ‘Varisu’, has been arrested from Bangalore in a sexual harassment case. A 21-year-old girl had accused the choreographer that Jani had worked with her on several projects and he had been sexually abusing her for the past few months. Taking action on the girl’s allegations, Cyberabad Raidurgam Police of Hyderabad registered a zero FIR against the choreographer.

Choreographer of the song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from ‘Stree 2’, Jani Master, was arrested from Bangalore and not Goa after the police registered a case against him under the sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Also, the POCSO Act will be a non-bailable punishment. (If a person is booked for committing a crime like sexual abuse of a minor child, then he is not granted bail in any way.) On September 16, after a complaint by a 21-year-old girl, the police registered a case of sexual abuse against Jani.

A case has been registered against Jani Master at the Raidurgam police station under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (causing hurt) of the IPC. Jani was accused of sexually abusing the woman several times during outdoor shooting and at his home in different cities for 6 years. Not only this, the matter was first raised before Shikha Goyal, Director General of Women Safety Wing (WSW) of Telangana, who advised the victim to file a case with the police.

Jani Master has choreographed songs of stars like Allu Arjun, Thalapathy Vijay and Salman Khan. In Bollywood, he has choreographed ‘Photocopy’ from the film ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ title track, ‘Laal Peeli Ankhiyan’ and ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ and ‘Aayi Nayi’ from ‘Stree 2’.
