Dilip Sahab, who started his Bollywood career with the film ‘Jwar Bhata’ in the year 1944, became famous with the film ‘Jugnu’ in the year 1947. He worked in many superhit films like ‘Shaheed’, ‘Andaz’, ‘Daag’, ‘Deedar’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Musafir’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Aan’, ‘Azad’. Dilip Kumar, who gave more than one film in his career spanning 5 decades, was also known for his affable nature along with his superior performance.
Her friendship with the showman of the film industry, Raj Kapoor, was considered one of the strongest. Both the friends may have said goodbye to the world, but the stories of their friendship and feud are still discussed. Let us tell you that Dilip Kumar was very shy and calm. Dilip Kumar had told in his book that Raj Kapoor had tried hard to get girls to befriend him, but he always failed because of his shyness. Once Raj Kapoor along with himself and Dilip Kumar had even made two Parsi girls ride on Tonga.
Sharing this anecdote related to Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar told that on the way Raj Kapoor saw two Parsi girls, whom he offered to ride on Tonga. The girls started walking with Raj and Dilip Kumar. Talking about this, Dilip Kumar further said, “I made enough space so that those girls can sit comfortably. But Raj did nothing of the sort.”

Talking about Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar further said, “Raj made the girl sit beside him and after a while both of them started talking like lost friends. Raj suddenly put his hand on the girl’s shoulder and surprisingly, she was not even bothered at all. I started feeling embarrassed at that time, but Raj was talking funnily.”
Let us tell you that Raj Kapoor often used to say in media interviews that if ever his friend Dilip Kumar gets married, he will go to his house on his knees. Dilip Kumar married Saira Banu in the year 1966. After Dilip Kumar’s marriage, Raj Kapoor kept his promise. He went to Dilip Kumar’s house on his knees.
