The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is a story based on the genocide in Kashmir in the year 1990. The eyes of the audience are getting moist after seeing the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in the film. Many people have sentiments attached to it. Shooting it was full of challenges for the film’s team as well. There were many moments in which even those tears could not stop. Director Vivek Agnihotri himself cried bitterly during the shooting of the film.
The director has shared a video on Twitter. In which he has also given a long caption. In the video, Anupam Kher is lying on the hospital bed. This is a video of him while shooting his death scene. It can be seen in the video that Vivek is hugging her and crying. Anupam Kher was also seen getting emotional during this.
Along with the video, Vivek wrote, “When my mother died in 2004, I didn’t cry. When my father died in 2008, I didn’t cry. But when I shot this death scene with Anupam Kher, I couldn’t stop myself, the pain sensitivity of our Kashmiri Hindu parents is such that no son will be able to restrain himself.”
Users have commented fiercely on this video. Some people are also calling this video propaganda. Tunna Preet wrote, “This is all propaganda. If the son or daughter did not cry over the death of their parents. This clearly shows that he is emotionless and has no compassion for anyone. So he cannot cry for anyone, be it a Kashmiri Pandit or a common Pandit.”
Satya Anveshak wrote, “There are many untold stories of genocide of Kashmiri Hindus. Many families are still in endless agony for the last 32 years.” Lelson Wesley wrote, “This shows that you don’t even love your parents in real life…but during filmmaking your tears came (fake love for screen)… just spread love in the real world sir… God bless you.”
Jigar Shah wrote, “How sad and unnatural at the same time. Haven’t seen anyone who doesn’t cry when their parents die in real life. But when someone dies in the movie one cries! Only Dr. Deng and his friends can do this level of overshooting melodrama.”
