Sushma Joshi, mother of Bollywood’s famous lyricist and Censor Board chairman Prasoon Joshi, has passed away. He breathed his last on Sunday morning. Sushma Joshi was a lecturer in Political Science. He has worked in All India Radio for almost 3 decades. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami condoled the death of Prasoon Joshi’s mother by tweeting. He wrote that the family members may get the strength to bear this loss. Prasoon Joshi’s family is originally from Uttarakhand. The lyricist was also born in Almora, Uttarakhand.

Film career of Prasoon Joshi
Prasoon Joshi started his career with an advertising agency. He worked for many big companies. These include Coca Cola, Nestle, L’Oreal, Microsoft and Unilever among others. In Bollywood, he started his career as a lyricist with the film ‘Lajja’. He wrote hit songs for many films including ‘Fanaa’, ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Delhi 6’ among others.
