The film ‘The Kashmir Files’, made on the massacre and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, remains in the headlines continuously. The film was released on 11 March. Made in a low budget, the film has earned around Rs 250 crore so far. Most of the shooting of this film has been done in Uttarakhand.
The team faced many challenges during the shooting of the film. A video of Chinmay Mandlekar, who plays the dreaded terrorist Farooq Malik Bitta in the film, is going viral on Twitter, in which he is narrating how he filmed a scene with anti-India slogans standing in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
In between, slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai had to be raised: Chinmoy told that a part of the film was being shot in the market of Mussoorie. Where he had to give anti-India speech and raise slogans. For which he had to shout slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ after every take.
Let us inform that in this film, Chinmay has played the role of a dreaded terrorist. After watching the film, people started hating his character. Chinmoy told that it was a very difficult task for him to do such a character in this serious film that people would hate. When he first read the script, he also hated the character of Bitta. This role was very challenging, which was very difficult to do.
He told that an attempt has been made to show the reality in the film. Chinmoy’s character is also shown to be as dangerous as the real Bitta, who made Kashmiri Pandits homeless.
It is worth mentioning that the full name of Chinmay is Chinmay Deepak Mandlekar. He has earned a lot of name in Marathi films. Apart from this, before Kashmir Files, Chinmay has worked in Bollywood films like ‘Tere Bin Laden’, ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ and ‘Shanghai’. He has also played the role of police in the web series ‘Ek Thi Begum’.
