New Delhi. It took almost two decades for Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi to reach where he is in the world of cinema today. The actor said in an interview to IANS that if he had not been in the world of showbiz, he would have been a farmer or pursuing a career in politics. Pankaj is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga’ Which is inspired by true events.
Pankaj Tripathi wants to become a farmer
Talking to IANS, Pankaj Tripathi said, “If I was not an actor, I would have been a farmer. My father was a farmer and this was my ancestral work. I would have done farming or maybe I would have been in politics.” Star Pankaj Tripathi, 45, started with a small role in ‘Run’ and ‘Omkara’ in 2004, but found success with ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ in 2012. Pankaj Tripathi did a great job in films like ‘Fukrey’, ‘Masaan’, ‘Nil Battey Sannata’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Newton’, ‘Stree’, ‘Ludo’ and ‘Mimi’.
Won everyone’s heart with his acting
Apart from this, Pankaj also acted in web series like ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Criminal Justice’, ‘Your Truly’ and ‘Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors’. The actor said, “My acting career is a long story. I was interested in this line and for this I left agriculture and student politics and came towards cinema. I don’t know if I am successful or not, but it took me 15-20 years to reach here.”
