Mumbai, July 13 (IANS)| Actress Bhumi Pednekar took to social media to express her concern about the impact of climate change on our planet. The actress highlighted the need to revive the earth, which is constantly heating up due to climate change.
Bhumi, who has been vocal about climate change, tweeted on Tuesday: “Climate change is real. We’ve accelerated it to the level of huge repercussions. Our planet is warming. Flash floods, droughts, wildfires, disease outbreaks, mass extinctions. Instead of regenerating our planet, we are spending billions on finding new planets.”Commenting on the actress’s tweet, netizens shared their opinion.
One user commented “Manufacturing the clothing we wear is polluting our water bodies. We are destroying rain forests just to make luxury apartments and at the same time reducing animal habitat. Climate Change is not about finding a home on another planet. We need to expand our horizons and stop using things that are responsible for climate change.”
Another user shared, “Everyone needs to think about how they can make a difference. So, are we ready to turn off our AC, use a bicycle today instead of staring at the car?”On the film front, the actress will be next seen in Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ directed by Aanand L Rai.She also has ‘Badhaai Do’ with Rajkummar Rao and ‘Mr Lele’ with Vicky Kaushal.
