The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ continues to make new records. Recently, trade analyst Taran Adarsh compared this film with films like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Bahubali 2’ and told how the film has earned a record in terms of collection on the 8th day. The 9th day collection has been the highest one day collection of the film till date. With this, Taran Adarsh has said about the film that it reminds him of the film ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’ released in 1975, which created history.
History is living ‘Kashmir Files’
Taran Adarsh tweeted, ‘I saw tremendous public craziness about Jai Santoshi Maa in 1975 like never before in any film. It created history by facing a strong film like Sholay. After 47 years, the same thing is happening once again. TheKashmirFiles is also creating history… breaking records, setting new benchmarks.
Crossed 100 crores in a week
The film has collected Rs 100 crore in just one week. Let us tell that at the time of the release of the film, its beginning was very normal, but then it got tremendous benefit of mouth publicity and on seeing the film’s business there was a tremendous boom. Taran Adarsh has said that the 10th day collection of the film can be around 30 crores.
Why did Taran compare with ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’?
One of the major reasons why Taran Adarsh compared the film with ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’ is that it was a light budget film with neither a huge star cast nor was it promoted at the mass level. This film ran only on the basis of its content and in the case of The Kashmir Files, everything is being seen in the same way.
