MUMBAI: Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan says he is overwhelmed by the love and appreciation that his latest film “Jhund” has received. Written and directed by Nagraj Manjule, the film is based on the story of Vijay Barse, who formed an NGO called ‘Slum Soccer’ and turned the children of the township into football players by taking them away from drugs and crime. “Jhund”, which released on March 4, has received rave reviews from critics. A Twitter user reported on Thursday night that “Jhund” got a rating of 9.3 on IMBD. To this Bachchan (79) replied, “The ratings have been rising steadily…Grateful to all the audiences for showering love on the film.”
