He had shot a major portion of the film, but after his death, the makers decided that Paresh Rawal would complete the rest of the film. His co-actor Juhi Chawla in this film has shared many things related to Rishi Kapoor.
During this, the actress could not hold back her tears. Recalling the journey of ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’, Juhi said that its entire shoot was quite fun, but was heartbroken due to the death of Rishi Kapoor. But the makers focused on completing the film, which was also very important.
The actress told that a few days after the death of Chintu ji, the director of the film Ritesh Sidhwani told me that we will complete it. I said I am ready for it. Working with Chintu ji was a great experience for all of us.
Juhi Chawla was afraid of Rishi Kapoor: When Juhi was asked about her memorable moments with Rishi Kapoor, she smiled and said, “Bahut ki yaadein hai, early in my career, I used to be scared of him, because I was like a newcomer in front of ‘Chintu ji’. I would often forget my lines or make mistakes in dialogues. Acting in front of him used to be a big task. But with time everything went well.
Sharing her experience of working with Rishi Kapoor in ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’, Juhi said that she always used to get scolded by him. The actress told that whenever Chintu ji used to get angry, I used to laugh. He used to scold with love.
Rishi Kapoor said this in anger: Recalling an incident that happened on the sets of ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’, Juhi told how Rishi Kapoor started shouting at her. Because she was checking the monitor. Rishi Kapoor was so angry that he called Juhi Chawla an “insecure actor”.
