New Delhi. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is going to start his career in acting. His first film ‘Maharaj’ is ready, but the movie has been surrounded by controversies even before its release on OTT Netflix. For the last few days, many Hindu organizations have been continuously opposing the film. In this episode, today i.e. on Wednesday, the Brahmin community and Vaishnav sect protested against Junaid’s film ‘Maharaj’ in Morena, Madhya Pradesh and also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister.
People of Brahmin community and Vaishnav sect said, ‘A wrong film has been made to promote Aamir Khan’s son, in which venom has been spewed against Sanatan Dharma and Hindu Gods and Goddesses.’ Those who submitted the memorandum have warned the filmmakers that if the film is not banned, then a fierce agitation will be carried out across the country. They said that in this film many scenes have been shown against Sanatan Dharma, Shri Vallabhacharya Ji and Lord Krishna.
There is protest against the movie on social media
For the last few days, there has been a lot of opposition on social media regarding Junaid Khan’s film ‘Maharaj’. On June 13, Boycott Netflix trended on Twitter. Users demanded a ban on the film with this hashtag. The release date of the film ‘Maharaj’ was fixed as June 14, 2024, but due to heavy opposition, it has not been released yet. It has been directed by Malhotra P. Siddharth. At the same time, the film is made under the banner of Yash Films.
The film is based on a true incident
The story of ‘Maharaj’ is said to be inspired by a true incident. In this, Junaid Khan will be seen in the role of journalist and social reformer Karsandas Mulji. At the same time, Jaideep Ahlawat is also a part of the film, who will be seen in the role of Jadunathji Brijratanji Maharaj. The film ‘Maharaj’ is based on the Maharaj Libel Case of 1862, which is considered one of the important legal battles of India.
