Appeal to the government to save the dying cinema industry before the release of the film
Mumbai, (IANS)| Ahead of the release of her upcoming film ‘Thalaivi’, actress Kangana Ranaut has urged the Maharashtra government to allow theaters to open and save the film industry from ‘dying’. Kangana took to her Instagram story to appeal. She said, “In the midst of corona cases in Maharashtra, I appeal to the Maharashtra government to open theaters in Maharashtra and to save the dying film industry and theater business.”
On Tuesday morning, he wrote another note on his Instagram story. He said, “In Maharashtra, restaurants, hotels, offices, local trains, everything is open, but movie theaters are closed due to Kovid. Corona spreads only in movie theaters as per the Maharashtra government’s Covid rule.”
Late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and former actress J. Jayalalithaa’s biopic ‘Thalaivi’ will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It depicts various aspects of Jayalalithaa’s life. The film will trace her journey from actress to politician. It is set to release in theaters on 10 September.
