The film has crossed the ₹ 1000 crore mark and it is believed that this film can also break the record of lifetime collection of ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’. Highest collection in Kannada film industry
KGF: Chapter 2 has become the highest grossing film in the Kannada film industry. How vigorous the business of the film has been in Kannada cinema can be gauged from the fact that the total business of KGF: Chapter 2 has exceeded the combined collection of the next 12 films. Till date no film has done even a quarter of the business of KGF: Chapter 2.
Indian film with highest opening gross weekend
In the opening weekend itself, the film made a gross collection of ₹ 552 crores and thus KGF: Chapter 2 broke the record of ‘Bahubali-2’. KGF: Chapter 2 has become the Indian film to have the highest opening gross weekend collection. Not only this, the English dubbed version of any Kannada film has not earned so much till date, which KGF: Chapter 2 alone has done.
Highest gross collection after Pandemic
KGF: Chapter 2 had surprised everyone with a bang opening. In just two weeks after its release, the English version of the film did a business of ₹353 crore. In this way KGF: Chapter 2 became the highest grossing English film after Pandemic. The film also surpassed Dangal and Bahubali 2.
Advance booking also made a record
The film set a record even before its release which probably every filmmaker would want to make his film. Yash’s film KGF: Chapter 2 collected Rs 60 crores through advance booking even before its release, which is the highest ever. According to Pinkvilla, the highest collection through advance booking was done by Bahubali 2 which was Rs 58 crore.
Many regional records were also made, KGF dominated: Chapter 2
Apart from all these records, KGF: Chapter 2 has also broken many records in the case of regional cinema. The film collected Rs 10 crore gross in Odisha and crossed the 50 crore mark the fastest in Kerala. The film crossed the ₹100 crore mark from Tamil Nadu and Mumbai itself. Despite other films at the box office, its business did not go down.
4th highest grossing film
After entering the 1000 crore club, now KGF: Chapter 2 has become the fourth highest grossing Indian film. Now only RRR ( ₹ 1115 crore), Baahubali: The Conclusion ( ₹ 1810 crore), and Dangal ( ₹ 2024 crore) are ahead of it. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film at least insists on being in the top-3.
