Kay Kay Menon is considered to be the most underrated actor of Bollywood. He played many great characters in his acting career but even after that he did not get the position which a good actor is always looking for.
On several occasions, Kay Kay Menon himself has said that after playing every character he used to think that it would take him to the heights, but it never happened. And he is still an underrated actor.
KK Menon was born on 2 October 1966 in Kerala. He came from an army family. Therefore, his early life was spent in many parts of the country. He was passionate about acting since childhood. He used to take part in plays etc. from his school days. In an interview, he had told that he first played the role of a flower in a play.
However, Kay Kay Menon was also conscious about studies. So he completed his schooling and did MBA. After this he opened a startup company. Which was related to public relations and advertising. The company was doing well. But his mind was not engaged in this work.
After this he thought of leaving this company and joining theatre. In this connection, KK Menon reached Naseeruddin Shah’s theater group in search of a role. But Naseer sahib asked him to leave saying that there is no vacancy for any cast.

On this, Kay Kay Menon told him that he is ready to do any kind of role. Seeing Kay Kay Menon’s passion, Naseeruddin Shah gave him a small role. Thereafter Kay Kay Menon started being a part of plays regularly.
But a life-changing moment for him became the play Gandhi My Father, a play related to Gandhi. In this play, Naseer Sahab played the role of Gandhiji and his elder son Hiralal was played by Kay Kay Menon. Many people were impressed by seeing Kay Kay Menon’s acting in this act.

Later a film was also made on this play. Whose name was Gandhi My Father. In this film, Akshaye Khanna was seen in the role of Hiralal.
Kay Kay Menon did not have to wait long after the character of Hiralal and he got a chance to debut in Bhopal Express, a film on the Bhopal gas tragedy.
