Ladki Box Office Collection Day 1: Early Trends Full Description: Ram Gopal Varma’s much awaited film Ladki has been released in theatres, touted as India’s first martial arts film as claimed by the director. RGV’s last outing Dangerous has a lot of sensual scenes with the girl in which he has mixed both action and sensuality. Ladki has been released in Indian cinemas in all five languages Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. It stars Pooja Bhalekar, a martial artist turned actor, she also plays a martial artist in the film who is obsessed with Bruce Lee.

The film’s poster, trailer and promotional activity grabbed everyone’s attention but there is no enthusiasm for the film among the moviegoers. Also, RGV’s last film Dangerous failed to garner crowds at the ticket windows. According to initial estimates, Ladki will earn Rs 25-30 lakh on the first day.

As claimed by RGV, Ladki has been released in over 47,500 theaters worldwide, the film has been screened in 47,000 cinemas in China alone, which is the highest for an Indian film till date. Earlier the highest was Secret Superstar, and Dangal which released in 12k and 9k screens respectively. The director also said in an interview that the girl is his most expensive project till date.
Passed by CBFC with ‘A’ certificate
The CBFC passed the girl with an ‘A’ certificate in September 2021, asking for 12 close-up shots of the protagonist, dialogues, abusive words and Sanskrit shlokas to link religious sentiments. After doing the cuts, the length of the film has been reduced to 3 minutes 38 seconds, now the runtime is 129 minutes (2 hours 9 minutes).
Conflict
The maverick film director’s girl is locking horns with Hit: The First Case and Shabaash Mithu in the north and Rapo’s The Warrior in the south. According to the fans of the director, it will give a tough competition to the said films.
