Mumbai,(IANS)| Former Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar has been selected by UNICEF for the Youth Campaign. She says there is an urgent need to connect young people to the skills and livelihood opportunities of the 21st century, while effectively engaging them as change-makers. Regarding this initiative, Manushi said that youth is like a spark, which can light a lamp. We are the future, and whatever we sow today, we will reap in the future. There are more than 300 million youth in India. By preparing people, and by preparing them to go to work and grant them citizenship, the potential for India’s progress would be limitless.
Manushi is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in the period drama ‘Prithviraj’. He said that a roadmap would be prepared to achieve the important goal for the transformation of India by actively engaging the youth.Manushi said that there is an urgent need to connect the youth with the skills and livelihood opportunities of the 21st century, while effectively engaging them as change-makers. Young people bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the most pressing problems, and we need a platform to take their ideas forward.Manushi’s ‘Prithviraj’ will be released in theaters on January 21, 2022.
