Mumbai, (IANS)| The recently released teaser of Nushrat Bharucha starrer ‘Chhori’ has created excitement among the audience.The remake of Marathi film ‘Lapchapi’, ‘Chhori’ is all set for release. Nushrat, who plays the protagonist in the film, recently opened up about how she got selected for the project.He acquired the film after meeting with his former producer Vikram Malhotra (Founder and CEO, Abudantia Entertainment). Talking about the same, the actress said that Vikram was my producer in ‘LSD’. Then he was my producer in ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. That’s how we became friends. He knows and likes my work very well. So he offered me this film.
Nusrat said that when I went to Vikram Malhotra’s office, I met producer Jack there. I didn’t know who Jack was, Vikram just said that he was signing a film with him.“The first thing Jack asked me was my views on Indian society. I discussed it with him. I felt we needed to improve, be it education or population control, electricity or water supply and basic things That’s what people need to meet daily. That’s how we talked about India for an hour.”
Soon after this conversation, Nusrat learned that there was a film they were planning to work on, and Jack found her the perfect fit for the role. Nusrat said that I think I was in the right place at the right time, and it was just a coincidence that Jack sat in front of me before my flight and had a conversation with me.Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by T-Series, Crypt TV and Abudantia Entertainment, ‘Chhori’ will stream on Prime Video from November 26 in 240 countries and territories across the world.
