New Delhi. Internationally award winning film ‘Mango Dreams’ starring Pankaj Tripathi and Ram Gopal Bajaj is all set to release in India. In this emotional film directed by American director John Upchurch, Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of a Muslim auto rickshaw driver, who forms a unique relationship with Ram Gopal Bajaj, who plays the role of a Hindu doctor. The foundation of this relationship is laid during an amazing journey which left the audience heartbroken. Together, this Muslim auto driver and a Hindu doctor set out on a journey across India in search of the doctor’s childhood home.
Excited about the film’s release on an independent Indian platform, director John Upchurch says, ‘This story explores the relationship between two brothers born and separated in India and Pakistan. The tense India-Pakistan relations serve to bring before the audience the conflicts prevailing in many parts of the world.
He further says, ‘The film is set in India, but the story reflects the mutual conflict between many neighboring countries. The original story was set in America, but the film could be set anywhere in the world where division exists.

Pankaj Tripathi’s stellar performance in the film ‘Mango Dreams’ earned him the Best Actor Award at the Cape Town International Film Market and Festival in 2017. The film also received recognition in many international film festivals around the world. The film will premiere in open theaters in India on 16 May.
