New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS)| Actor Prateik Babbar, who has been active in the Hindi film industry for over a decade, says his 2011 release “Dhobi Ghat” has been a major game changer for him. The 34-year-old actor made his Bollywood debut with ‘Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na’. Later he was seen in many other films like ‘Dum Maro Dum’, ‘Aarakshan’, ‘Mulk’ and ‘Chhichhore’.
“Talking about a project which he can tag as a game changer for himself, I would say ‘Dhobi Ghat’ was a major game changer for me. That was the one,” Prateek told IANS.The actor, son of politician Raj Babbar and late actress Smita Patil, says he has several projects lined up for release and is hopeful that this will change the course of his career.
The actor said, “I have a few projects coming up this year. Hope all goes well. Hope this gives a better direction to my career.”Revealing about his upcoming work, Prateek said, “There is a film with Netflix called ‘Cobalt Blue’. It is a Netflix original. It has me in the lead role along with some newcomers. It’s a very emotional, It is a touching and heartbreaking love story. I am very excited about it.”
He concluded that, “Hopefully there will be more life-changing scenarios for me this year.”‘Cobalt Blue’ is based on a novel by Sachin Kundalkar. The book is the story of a brother and sister who fall in love with the same man, after which the ensuing events shatter a traditional Marathi family.
