Praveen Kumar, who started his career as a player on the basis of his stature and strong body, has impressed the fans with his strong acting in many Bollywood films apart from the Mahabharata serial. Very few people know that Praveen Kumar has also worked with superstars like Amitabh Bachchan and Jitendra in his acting career. Praveen, a resident of Punjab, was 6 feet tall. Before joining acting, Praveen was also very active in sports. He was a hammer and discus throw athlete. Praveen also won many medals in Asian and Commonwealth Games. He won the gold medal in the Asian Games held in Hong Kong. He also represented the country twice in the Olympics. He was also honored with the Arjuna Award.
After earning a name in the world of sports, Praveen also got the job of Border Security Force ie BSF, but after a few years he made up his mind to act and never looked back. He had also expressed his displeasure with the government regarding the pension.
He said that all the governments that came in Punjab gave pension to all the players who won the Asian Games or medals, but they were not given pension. He was the only athlete to have represented the Commonwealth. Yet he was treated step-motherly in the matter of pension. Praveen was also in a lot of discussion about this complaint.
