Mumbai: A case of cheating has been registered by the Hyderabad Police against film director Ram Gopal Varma. He has been accused of not returning 56 lakh rupees from the owner of a production house. Koppada Shekhar Raju of Shekhara Art Creations has filed this complaint at the Miyapur police station. The complainant wrote alleging that Ram Gopal Varma had taken Rs 56 lakh from him for the production of a Telugu film ‘Disha’ in the year 2020.
While taking the money, Ram Gopal had told Koppada Shekhar Raju that he would return all his money before the release of the film, but in January 2021, Koppada Shekhar Raju came to know that the film ‘Disha’ was not produced by Ram Gopal Varma. . He realized that Ram Gopal Varma had betrayed him. Whose case has now been filed by Koppada Shekhar Raju. A case has been registered against the director under sections 406, 417, 420 and 506.
