Bollywood Updates: Ranveer Singh has been working for a long time to make text books and other educational material accessible using sign language for deaf children in India. Not only this, Ranveer is also continuously working towards raising the challenges and issues being faced by the deaf community. He is also trying to get the authorities to recognize Indian Sign Language (ISL) as the 23rd official language of India.
Special Records for the Deaf
Ranveer has recently signed a petition to raise awareness in this regard. Ranveer said that making NCERT textbooks digitally available to students of classes 1 to 5 in ISL is a big step towards a truly inclusive society. Significantly, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has signed an agreement with the Indian Center for Sign Language Research and Training (ISLRTC) to provide access to educational material that uses sign language to deaf children.

It is worth noting that Ranveer has started his own individual record label ‘Inc Inc’ with Navjar Irani. Under this he has released several music videos in sign language for deaf children.
