New Delhi, July 12 (IANS)| Actress Mrunal Thakur is happy to work with National Award winning filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in the boxing drama ‘Toofan’. The film also stars Farhan Akhtar. He says that playing Ananya in the film has given him confidence and strength. Mrunal is overwhelmed to work with Mehra, whose ‘Rang De Basanti’ won her a National Film Award as well as a BAFTA nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, who also produced ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ among other films.
Mrunal told IANS, “I think this is one of the most stormy moments for me. This is my fourth film and I got a chance to work with Rakesh sir.The actress quipped, “I think all the other actresses are jealous and I consider myself lucky.”He added that “I have just learned a lot. Ananya (her character) has made Mrunal strong and confident, and as a human being too I feel that I am the catalyst when it comes to my family.”‘Toofan’ is the story of a boxer played by Farhan Akhtar, who pushes his limits and works hard to win. The film is scheduled to release on July 16 on Amazon Prime Video.
