New Delhi. The film ‘The Kashmir Files’, made on the exodus of Kashmir Pandits from the valley, is once again in the news. It is one of the successful films of the year 2022 so far. Its director is Vivek Agnihotri. Vivek has always said that he made the film after research. Its subject was called fiction by many people and Vivek gave a befitting reply to everyone with his Twitter handle. Now Vivek Agnihotri has slammed Wikipedia for disclosing wrong facts about The Kashmir Files. Someone edited the information given in Wikipedia about The Kashmir Files and this made Vivek’s mercury rise. After editing, Wikipedia has described The Kashmir Files as fictional, wrong and a conspiracy film.

Vivek shared a screenshot of the information given on Wikipedia about The Kashmir Files on his Twitter handle and wrote, ‘Dear Wikipedia, you forgot to add ‘Islamophobia, Propaganda, Sanghi etc’ to this. You seem to be failing on your secular credentials. Quickly edit it further.’ Let us tell you that Vivek had given a strong reply earlier also to those who spread wrong propaganda about the film. Vivek had told that he wrote the story of the film after talking to 700 Kashmiri Pandits. Vivek had also expressed his displeasure over the misleading publicity during an interview with the anchor of a TV channel in Kerala.
Vivek’s film The Kashmir Files was released on March 11 this year. People liked this film very much. It also had housefull shows in foreign cinemas. The film starred Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumar in the lead roles. Made at a cost of only 15 crores, The Kashmir Files did a business of 300 crores at the box office. The film is based on the subject of terrorizing Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in 1990 and forcing them to flee.
