New Delhi, July 23 (IANS)| In an effort to expand its 5G smartphone portfolio, Samsung India on Friday launched its new Galaxy A22 5G smartphone. It is said that this is the first smartphone in the A-series with 5G connectivity. There are two variants of this smartphone – 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 128 GB, which are priced at 19,999 and 21,999 respectively. It is available at all retail stores, Samsung.com and major online portals.
Aditya Babbar, Head and Senior Director, Mobile Marketing, Samsung India, said in a statement, “The Galaxy A22 5G has been designed keeping in mind the growing needs of consumers and comes with 90Hz display, great cameras and an amazing processor. Equipped with many features like.“It’s a great option for consumers who want to keep their devices ready for what’s to come with the promise of two years of OS upgrades and 11 bands of support,” he added.
The smartphone has a 6.6-inch Full HD Plus Infinity-V display, which has a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It is great for smooth scrolling and gaming. Its triple rear camera setup consists of a 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. It has an 8 MP front camera for high-clarity selfies.Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, the Galaxy A22 5G packs a massive 5000mAh battery, along with an in-box 15W USB-C fast charger. It is supported by Android 11 and One UI Core 3.1.
