Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan surprised everyone when he signed Kabir Khan’s film ‘Chandu Champion’. The film is based on 1972 Para Olympic gold medalist Murlikant Rajaram Petkar. From Kartik’s comedy-based filmography to the failure of Kabir Khan’s ’83’, everything was at stake when the two worked together for ‘Chandu Champion’. But the duo surprised everyone. Kartik has impressed everyone with this must-watch biopic. Not only this, he has also impressed actress Shabana Azmi. After watching Kartik’s performance in ‘Chandu Champion’, she could not stop herself from praising him.
Shabana praised Karthik and Kabir Khan
Veteran actress Shabana Azmi praised Kartik and Kabir Khan on her Instagram. She wrote in the caption, ‘Kabir Khan’s film Chandu Champion impressed me a lot and I loved Kartik Aaryan’s character. He played it with almost a child-like determination and his smile doesn’t let him come across as arrogant. Vijay Raj is very effective as the coach. It is a real-life story and I salute Kabir for making it his (Muralikant Rajaram Petkar) lifetime’s film so that he could watch it with his family. I was present with Kartik at a special screening organised by Excel Entertainment.’

Kartik wrote in the caption, ‘I got my Eidi… Your every word feels like a medal to me.’ Let us tell you, even after coming out of the screening, a video of Shabana Azmi came out, in which she was seen praising Kartik’s film. Coming out with Javed Akhtar, she said that she cried a lot while watching the film.
‘Chandu Champion’ Collection
Kartik Aaryan’s latest release Chandu Champion is performing well at the box office despite a slow start. The film’s collections are increasing day by day. The film’s tremendous buzz even before its release has attracted the audience. According to a report by Saccanilk, the film earned Rs 11.01 crore in India on its third day. The total collection has now gone up to Rs 24.11 crore. On Sunday, June 16, Chandu Champion’s Hindi occupancy was 32.47%.
