Bruce Wills’ Worst Performance Award canceled
Organizers of the Golden Raspberry Awards have announced that they have withdrawn the recently announced award for the Hollywood star after Bruce Wills was reported to be suffering from aphasia and his retirement from acting. The Golden Raspberry Award (Raazij) is given every year to the worst films. According to Entertainment Weekly, Wills was awarded the worst performance in 2021. “After much deliberation, Raazi’s has decided to withdraw the Rajeez Award given to Bruce Wills,” Rajee’s co-founders John J. B. Wilson and Moe Murphy said in a statement on Thursday. Bruce Wills suffers from aphasia in which the person is unable to speak even though he is not dumb.
‘Sher Shah’ tops IIFA nominations
Sidharth Malhotra’s film ‘Shershaah’ has topped the nominations for the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IIFA). The film has been nominated in the Best Director, Narrative and Best Actor categories. The IIFA Awards on Friday revealed the nominations for the popular categories of its 22nd edition to be held at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on May 20 and 21.
Based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who died for the country during the Kargil War in 1999, ‘Sher Shah’ has been nominated in 12 categories. These include categories like Best Direction, Story, Dialogue, Music Direction, Playback Singer etc. The film was released on August 12 last year. Kiara Advani was seen opposite Siddharth in the film. Along with this, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s ’83’ and Anurag Basu’s multistarrer ‘Ludo’ have received nine and six nominations respectively.
