Mumbai,(IANS)| The troubles of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are not seeming to stop. The husband and wife have been named in an FIR in connection with financial disturbances at a fitness center started by them. The complainant alleged that the couple took money from investors across India for their pan-India venture and threatened them when they demanded to withdraw the payment of Rs 1.5 crore.
Taking cognizance of this, Shilpa has issued a clarification regarding the FIR and made a public appeal to protect her civil rights within the ambit of the law. The actress shared a note on her social media, where she presented her side of the story. He wrote, “I was shocked to see myself and Raj’s name in the FIR as soon as I woke up in the morning. Let me clarify, SFL Fitness was run by Kashif Khan. He had the rights to open gyms across the country in the name of SFL.
He had done all the agreements related to this and also looked after the transactions and day-to-day work related to the bank. We are not aware of any transaction of money and they have not given us a single rupee. All the franchisees used to contact Kashif directly. The company was shut down in 2014 and its entire functioning was looked after by Kashif. I have worked very hard in the last 28 years so it hurts to see how easily my name and image is being tarnished.”
