Ingredients for making Khandvi
Gram flour – 100 grams
Curd – 1 cup
Green chilies chopped – 2
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp
Raw coconut grated – 1 tbsp
Green coriander chopped – 1 tbsp
Curry leaves – 4-5
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make Khandvi
Step-1. Beat the curd well and filter it through a sieve.
Step-2. Now add curd to it and mix both well.
Step-3. Add 2 cups of water, ginger paste, turmeric and salt to taste and mix in this gram flour solution.
Step-4. Now put the prepared batter of gram flour in a pan and cook it on medium heat while stirring it continuously.
Step-5. When the batter starts to thicken, reduce the flame and let it cook for another 9-10 minutes while stirring continuously.
Step-6. When the mixture becomes thick, turn off the gas.
Step-7. Now spread this solution thinly in a tray.
Step-8. After cooling, cut it into 2 inch wide and 6 inch long strips with the help of a knife. Step-9. After this, prepare round-round rolls of these strips.
Step-9. After this, heat oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chilies and put them on the whole khandvi with the help of a spoon.
