Sona Mohapatra shared a picture of a beauty product which has Jacqueline’s face printed on it. Sona tweeted with this, ‘Obviously free, expensive, luxury gifts without earning … My personal decision is to avoid this kind of brand ambassador stuff. A person with an amazing skill set, or something that can be admired? No? If not then please don’t sell me anything with this hollowness.’
‘Toxic role model for society’
He wrote in another tweet, ‘Creating a society with a toxic role model for the coming generation, we kill the commitment of even an honest gender equality movement. Tough tasks are made even more difficult. These 5/10 women, succeeding with shortcuts become the stereotype for singing pop music?’
‘Next level shamelessness’
Talking to our colleague Hindustan Times, Sona said, ‘This idea is not to offend anyone. Sometimes I feel that there should be better role models in the society so that children of our generation don’t run after numbers, pretty faces, gym bodies and botox faces. Sona further said, ‘I saw this at the airport on my way back from my Kolkata event and I think there is another level of shamelessness. I don’t know if you know or not but I know it, she used to come to my house and it used to be weird. The complete list of ED has come out. The accepted gifts on the list range from Gucci, Chanel, private jet ride to a house and don’t know what… But the next day she was smiling at Salman’s Iftar party.
