The Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starrer crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India business in just 5 days.Senior film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh gave a detailed account of the film’s 5 days collection on Twitter. He wrote, ‘Sooryavanshi not out. It is attracting substantial number of people even on weekends, especially in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
‘Sooryavanshi’ is Shetty’s ambitious addition to the cop world. The film suffered several setbacks in the last 18 months due to theater closures and civil restrictions. But, it has managed to rake in impressive numbers while restoring people’s faith in the medium of cinematography.The film marks Rohit Shetty’s 9th century at the box-office, becoming the fastest film to gross Rs 100 crore, reaching the third position after ‘Simmba’ and ‘Singham Returns’.
